Hey all, im in the search for a new pc case and i dont want to spend more than $250 if possible ...

Ive looked at umart and below-0 and nothing has really taken my fancy, is there a case or some other good websites (besides the usual gd, disc shop, and ca) that people can recommend that have a large variety of pc cases? Also a nice case recommendation? Cheers

I like these two cases from Thermaltake - case 1 - armor looks good, but the next one Kandalf - Page 2 - looks better.

I'm waiting for the Kandalf to be released in Australia later this month.

Thermaltake Make pretty good cases - Aluminum, lots of fans, etc. . .

ive had some generic cases:

Antec:-
super lanboy
slk1600
pII 835
SOHO1040

Coolermaster Stacker
and now a barebone

so dependin on what you are after? (big, small, tiny, medium)

i love my SOHO1040, very sleek, clean,etc

The cooler master turned out way to big
The SLB got teased by too many people
The SLK1600 is a perfect normal hosue case
The PII835 is okay..

oh yea, ive also had the Antec P160

im sorry kmart, but thoes cases, kinda look gumby to me, not in a "omg your lame" kinda sence, more a "it doensn't suit me", cause i need as many counter gumby points as i can get.

i like mine, except i don't know what its called and i have only ever seen one for sale, and i bought it. and i have never seen it again.

antec sonata

yeah, the sonata is a sexy bitch also.

i don't mind the new thermaltake cases, because like the sonata they are aluminum, so much lighter.

the old antec cases (like mine) and the old thermaltake cases weigh a fkn tonne!!

I want something lighter, so when I kick everyones asses at a lan, i can make a quick exit when everyone gets pissed off at my supremacy.

(note- i actually suck. i need a quick exit for when ppl laugh at how bad i am. - kinda gets that way when you work two jobs, and don't have the time.)

I've got a Lian Li V1000 myself, pretty good case, good design, classy and nice airflow, good and quiet too if you like that. Cooling could be better, I keep itching to switch the 120mm fans in it for some high speed sunons.

irhabi: ive had one of those before, nice cases but im after something different

lits: that is a really nice case and ive looked at those, but the 11 hdd space would be wasted on my 1 hdd :P

There is some website for a company in syd or something, they have a huge selection of cases, but for the life of me, i cant remember what it is ... anyone?

I can't stress how important it is to get the lightest case possible. I hate taking my computer to a lan. Stupid steel case!

Yeah, that 30 second trip from the car to the table for the next 48 hours is really tiring.

I have the same case as irhabi, for the amount of fans it has it's bloody quiet and I think it's a brilliant case.

yeh firefrog, thats the one :D

I found a nice case there - SILVERSTONE TJ06 BLACK MIDI TOWER CASE

The only problem is, its mounted upside down for the wind tunnel and all the stuff is on the right hand side of the case and not the left, still looks like a might nifty case though :D

have you lanned with an antec 1080 at an apartment block with a broken elevator? no? shut up then :P

the thermaltake shark 7000 silver is a nice case, one of the few thermaltake that i can stand.

i personally think that you should look at a shark 7000, antec 1080AMG, amacrox silver

I'd been thinking for a while that I wanted a new case, but didn't know exactly what I wanted. I used to have one of those big enermax cases that were popular at one stage, but they became too big and heavy, so I wanted something normal sized, but had enough cooling for today's cpu/vid card. Khel bought a new case a few months ago and it caught my eye, it looked good and had really good features, so I recently ended up getting one of my own. It's an Antec CSXSLK2650 BQE ATX Tower Case

Check it out if you don't want anything big or fancy, but still have some good features.

I would go the shark case over the V5000D Burgz, purely because it's aluminum, compared to steel.

half the weight, and gets rid of any heat twice as fast.

although gd would love you to take the v5000d i'm sure, as it's old stock.

I saw the Shark Case for $220.

I reckon it would be the best at that price, as it comes with a 400Watt PFC PSU.
