Although I hate to defend the Sunday Mail (as it is quite possibly the worst newspaper in Australia), this would have gone through several sets of hands/eyes before being published. If there was any cause for concern I'm sure they would have pulled it.

Having said that, if you feel strongly about it then send them a letter for sure. I'm sure you won't be alone, as there is always someone who wants to complain about the content of a newspaper.
