Before I begin, let me invite you to read a small background story...
Fifteen years after a mysterious disease called The Big Death wiped out everyone over the age of puberty, a loner named Jeremiah (Luke Perry), joined by his cynical friend Kurdy (Malcolm-Jamal Warner), makes his way among the survivors, warring rival social factions of young people who must learn to make their own way without the wisdom of those who lived before them. Jeremiah works to build a new world of hope from the ashes of the old...an ordinary young man destined to become an extraordinary hero. OMG!! This is like one of the best tv series I've seen in a long time. So far I've only watched 8 episodes, but damn, they've all been awesome. Can't recommend this series enough. Luke Perry is outstanding and so is Malcolm-Jamal Warner. You might recognize him from such hits as The Cosby Show and other stuff he's done which I've never heard of (Theeeeooooooo). I see they've done two seasons already so I'm hanging to catch the rest which shouldn't be too far off. http://www.members.optushome.com.au/gpahl/jeremiah01.jpg http://www.members.optushome.com.au/gpahl/jeremiah02.jpg http://www.members.optushome.com.au/gpahl/jeremiah03.jpg |

Although it has its own thread and most would no doubt be aware of it, Lost rocks all kinds of socks. I keep up to date with Lost, Scrubs and the OC as they come out in America.

Holy s***!!
Man, I've been watching season two of this and it's kicking some serious ass all over the place. Season one starts to slacken off a bit in the middle but the last few eps are excellent. Anyway, season two is f***ing cool. Heaps more action and alot of evil motherf***ers trying to run the place. If you tried to watch season one and twas bored with it, keep going because season two is so much better. Plus, there are a couple of absolute honey-bunnys in this that should keep your attention long enough to be able to sit thru the eps. |

Another good series to come out of the states is "Dead Like Me"....a story about a girl killed by a toilet seat that falls out of the sky and becomes a reaper, who's job it is to yank souls out of people before they die.Very funny black comedy.

No where as good or interesting as Jeremiah though. I found Dead Like Me to be extremely boring and the characters were as flat as the piece of A4 paper sitting next to me.

If you like Dead like Me, try Wonderfalls. It's kind of like Joan of Arcadia, but not completely f***ing stupid and lame.

Oh yeah!!
Just finished watching season 2 of Jeremiah and it was damn impressive. A million times better than the first season with twice the action and lots of double crossing. However, it did sorta end very suddenly and has left heaps of stuff unanswered so I really hope they're making a third season to this. So if you get a chance to watch both seasons, don't pass it up, it really is worth sitting thru. WooT!!! |

Aye Rev, this is a very good series indeed. I've seen seasons one and two and I'm mighty impressed. This is definately must-see post-apocalyptica.

Keep watching it Rev, it just gets better and better. Having watched it through my only regret is that JMS only had 35 episodes to work with. I guess the corporate execubots felt thier investment was better spent on yet another piece of s*** reality TV show.
For those with an attention span of more than 27.5 seconds it's rewarding entertainment indeed. |

I think we'll all agree that Luke Perry's finest moment was the 5th Element.
