Has anyone else been experiencing the following issues with bigpond cable over the last 6-8 week period

I have increasingly noticed late at night i cannot play a game because my ping spikes to 600-2000 and its is generally laggy, I also pinged a few sites www.bigpond.com and www.qgl.org and the pings have doubled in size at these times usually it also happens sometimes throughout the day.

I've never had problems before but I think its starting to become such an issue as to warrant changing isp unless there is some sort of technical issue that they don't know about and needs to be resolved.

try this:
192.168.100.1
config tab
chage your 'upstream channel'
save, restart
check the config page again and see if the channel stayed the same or went back to default.

if it defaulted try a different channel, keep trying till you find one that sticks.

ive got mine set to channel#3

yeah, seems in the morning (usually 1-3am) mine screws up. Can't ping s***, can't resolve a damn thing, my router can't even get an IP from the heartbeat server.

I'm not too bothered by it though as it's usually stuffed around the time I should be asleep.

what modem have you got? maybe you're on one of the old motorla modems?

also fuknukle did telstra advise you to change your upstream chan ID? wouldn't they get pissed at people just randomly changing s***?

yeah having a few probs at the moment. random dropouts n stuff.

Yeah mine has been rooted for like the last 4 days i can browse the web ok but most games arnt playable especialy games that require a really solid fast net con like UT2004, they better be giving a rebate on my next bill. well are they trog?

I have one of the Old modem's to.
So I can't change the upstream channel.

I had the same problems started about 5ish and went through till 10-11...

Haven't had a problem in a while though...
