Just bring yourself and your computer, leave your warez at home.

We'll be running a UT comp and will hopefully have an internet connection for Steam, so we can run an NS comp. We'll definately be running a Doom3 comp as well.

Our friends from Laser Skirmish will be returning and will be running several full-length missions throughout the day, just incase you get bored and need to stretch your legs.

Rules and Prizes for the comps are yet to be determined, but we're looking very closely at having an Athlon64 Bundle (CPU+MB) as a single major prize for the day.

On another note, we've done away with the dirty hubs we had in service last time. They've been replaced with a 24 port gigabit switch, thanks to codebasher, and a 24 port 10/100 switch thanks to nak0r.

Sifnt attend.

Laser Skirmish will endeavour to have up to 10 guns in service on the day, so that we can run 5v5 missions throughout the day, with some breaks because we need to get some gaming in too. ;)

These missions will incur a small cost, say around $5 for a half hour session, but you can't expect something for nothing now can you.

We've got more switches than the two I outlined.

Last time we had a 24port netgear, a 24 port hp procurve and 2x 24 port hubs. This time we've done away with the hubs and replaced them with the gigabit and 10/100 switches.

We'll also have a few 8 and 16 port switches there, so we can actually accomodate for more than 80 people if push comes to shove.

Also,
will u accept head?

If its not legal tender, I dont want it.

yep guys, should be heaps of fun again this time, and us admins have more of an idea of what games ppl will want again so ill get servers up and running earlier (hopefully with an additional server to boot).

just for those of u who may have to ask, the games played mostly are (or will be, in the case of d3) :

cod, bfv, ut2k4, d3, some bf42 and dc was played (hope to get more of it this time) and we had some ta and generals games going too - so remember, install before rocking up, nothing more annoying than having to wait for everyone to install games for competition organisers ><

as for the gigabit switch - dont ask for ports to be kept free for u, the majority will go to our sponsers (being that code is like almost up to "sponsershipness") and then the rest of the ports will be free (we dont know how many there will be) and ull just be directed there early in the day if u want a spot (and by early i mean, theyll prolly go in the first few hours)

I suppose I could be convinced to play a little generals this time around.

And speaking of games to be played, we've got a new poll up on the website to help us determine which games people want us to run competitions for.

Vote here.
