In light of the recent melrose in between a certain QGL couple, i've decided to post a writeup i did quite a few months ago regarding dating.

Have a read, take it seriously or don't take it seriously. Some of you might find interesting advice, the rest of you will discount it as yet more rantings from Einstein the guy who dates fat chicks.

Einstein's Self-Help Guide for Males

I'm writing a short guide on the rules and regulations for dating that other species commonly known as females. Daunting to most, insecure to others, females are indeed a part of life and can be very nice to share your life with if you're not a total homosexual hermit. Here's a few tips on looking for, and keeping that special someone for longer than a couple of months.


The Relationship Life Cycle

Most relationships will experience the template mentioned below. Your ability to recognise the transition from one stage to another can help greatly.

Talking -> Meeting -> Lust -> First Sexual Experience -> Puppy Love -> Unknown Rocky Patch -> True Love

Talking and Meeting:
Know what you want in a girl, this is very important. From day one you must be on your toes to spot any hint or subtle idea that this may not be the girl for you. Have what you want firmly set in your mind and you can proceed as per normal, albeit with some caution. Getting roped into a lengthy relationship with someone you don't truly like totally and utterly isn't pretty. Above all, it's a waste of your good time and effort (and money). If the talking has proceeded without hitch, you can move onto the more commitment based method of "Dating".
Taking a girl out to the movies, or dinner, or a club... it's all the same. You're showing her that you are serious for something more to happen, and she'll take it as such, wether you want to or not. If you want a female friend, never pay for her stuff, or her pay for yours. This mutual exchange of giving is always subconsciously recieved as a "Dating" signal. For old friends, the case may or may not differ, but for new friends, don't make this mistake.

Lust:
You've done the conversation thing, talked about your life and your past (not a good thing later in the relationship when you've become more attached to one another), No doubt you're already feeling the primal urges humans are infamous for. It's nothing to be ashamed of, nor to be scared of. The very basic bond is formed, and after you f*** each others brains out, the bond will be that much stronger. This unwavering lust is good and bad for a couple of reasons. Firstly, if you've failed to notice any danger signals by now, you won't notice them until it's too late. Secondly, if there aren't any danger signals and you have been looking, lust will keep you single minded and not wander off in search of someone else. Lastly, lust has a life of about six to twelve months, depending on your sex drive, and depending on how long it actually takes you to get around to the act.

First Sexual Experience:
You've either played your cards right, or gotten seriously drunk or high and ended up in bed together. The first sexual experience with your significant other will definitely ease a lot of nerves and bring down a lot of communication barriers like shyness. Here is the first hurdle, however. It was either meant to happen, or it was a complete accident in which case either hormones or alcohol caused it to happen. In the former circumstance, it's plain sailing for the next few months as you continue to f*** each other's brains out and generally enjoy each other's company until things fade into the puppy love stage. However in the latter circumstance, things can get dicey.
You're a strapping young male, a f***'s a f*** right? Absolutely. But the problem lies in wether she shares the same dreamy feelgood after-effect feelings as you do, in the accidental case she's going to be conflicted and confused, and being generally headf*** female. This will cause problems because the male can't handle this drastic change in plan, and ends up befuddled and dazed without benefit of purpose. This doesn't help the female and she'll continue her self-destroying mind loop until things just fall apart and communication breaks down. Think quickly and speak quickly. Your best hope at this point is to rationalise the situation for her and convince her it was the right thing or the wrong thing.
Confused yet? Lets break it down into something simpler. If the female deliberates over small silly little things, she'll exponentially make things worse in her own mind. The longer you leave it, the worse it will get, and always end up bad. To save yourself a lot of pain (and possibly save the newborn relationship) you need to come right out and say it was either right, or it was wrong. Settle that female turmoil as soon as possible.

Puppy Love:
Where this borderline starts is more or less as stated above, however in some cases it can occur entirely before you even get to the lust stage. Young males and females, generally under the age of 21 will bond much faster to their significant other than someone older and more experienced in the dating game. Age and wisdom can play a large part, but teenage hormones are often misguided... which isn't necessarily a bad thing. Puppy love is nice, i'm sure most of you have been there several times, except it can and will wear off. Females will be clingy and loving no matter what happens, though if you tend to abuse this fact, you will experience a much shorter puppy love stage, and end up at the dreaded rocky patch sooner than you would like. Be attentive of your female, but also be respectful. She may never want to leave your side, but she could have issues with public groping. Use your common sense and keep aware.
Puppy love dulls your senses, leaving you oblivious to a lot of things around you. If you are the only one affected and your female is flirting with other guys, you will NOT notice this at all. She'll give you the assuring smile and everything will be alright. Be on your toes and don't succumb to the dark side of the force, otherwise you'll end up even worse at the other end of the tunnel. I don't think i need to go into the scenario where she is the only one affected and you are not. Why are you in this situation in the first place?

The Unknown Rocky Patch:
Ah yes, the dreaded wasteland where your mutual participation in this little love story comes to a grinding halt. Everything now depends on the female, leaving you powerless and unable to do anything but watch as everything unfolds.
Puppy love is past, and reality comes crashing back upon the couple. The female will start the evil cogs of thought back up again and start questioning herself. One can only guess at what goes on inside, but if you are lucky to witness the phenomenon, you can see the female's expression change three to five moods in the space of 5-10 minutes. This is just the surface of the turmoil beneath.
There is very little advice that can be given in this situation. Noone has ever truly understood the female, you aren't likely to in your lifetime either. Ignore the uncomfortable silences that used to be her side of the conversations and continue life as normal. Back off on the hugging though, a lot of chicks get the "smothering" thing going here. Go out, have fun, go to parties, talk about intimate outrageous things that you haven't yet discussed. Take her mind off things and keep her interested until she can decide all over again that she really wants what she has. For the male, the rocky patch isn't your problem, we arrived at point B after travelling from point A. No f***ing problem =)

True Love:
If you haven't broken up during the rocky patch, then you will settle down and become comfortable with your mate and lead a life that will have you supporting one another in good and bad times. Your choice in female is finally rewarded as her full personality is completely unfolded. Sex will settle down to a fairly steady regimen, you may or may not have the occasional argument, and you will be planning your life around yourself and your mate for the short term future. Much like being married really, except this is the reality of being married without the socially retarded label.

The L Word

Love. A word that is taken too lightly by males and often thrown around willy-nilly. This can have fairly drastic effects on the female, either good or bad.

Incorrect Usage:
- To get laid
- During sex
- After sex
- To cheer her up

Correct Usage:
- When the situation is right and perfect and you are past the Puppy Love stage
- When asked or told, an honest reply is in order

Truth

If you must, withhold information, but don't ever lie. Males lack the upkeep to maintain any web of bulls*** they spin, and therefore will always get into trouble, one way or another. The best thing to do in "those" situations, like the dreaded "Am I fat?" question, is simply tell the truth. Just don't be too blunt about it. Sure she will be pissed off at you, but the truth is always the best thing.

Karma

What goes around, comes around. For every action there's an equal and opposite reaction. I myself have been subject to karma throughout most of my life. An extensive study on this phenomenon proves that it does indeed exist, and there is very little many people can do about it. If you're going to s*** on a girl that has done nothing wrong to you, expect consequences. Even if it's a totally unrelated occurence, something BAD will happen to you.

Gifts

Avoid the cliche. Don't buy gifts JUST for the sake of fulfilling some important date. The popular ones of course being Valentine's, her birthday, your anniversary, and Christmas. Mix it up a little, show her you appreciate her by random acts of kindness. However the trap is, don't look or feel guilty about it, she'll most definitely question your motives. The more you try to justify yourself, the more guilty she'll think you are. Just shrug it off and accept you did a good thing, wether she likes it or not. The girl in question will realise it eventually and things will fall into place. Depending on the girl that is, it can take minutes to years.

On buying flowers, don't buy roses. Avoid the cliche at all times, she's supposed to appreciate your being different from every other sheep out there.

Heels

Most of you are thinking "What the hell?" right now. Another extensive study conducted in my own time (note: Perving) has shown that footwear actually has a large bearing on the individual female's character. Of course i was skeptical at first, but more and more evidence leads towards the simple fact that a female's character reflects in their choice of footwear, and secondly the choice of clothing. The clothing isn't as important, and merely a clarification on your initial judgement. Not much can be derived from the clothing without benefit of footwear. As this document is dedicated to a dating guide and not a philosophical discussion involving a girl's choice of shoes, i'll be brief in outlining what to look for. Females will match at least ONE point from each category.

My fairly extensive history with a broad variety of females, my logic and common sense, brought me to the writing of this guide. I'm sure many of you would disagree with the points i've outlayed, however there is a lot of truth in this guide, and should be treated as a guide only. Not all females are exactly like each other, but they do share common genetic and emotional traits from which can be elaborated to a universal dating guide. Special thanks go to my last girlfriend, who inspired me to write this guide. To find someone as perfect as her, I must be doing something right.

Nah just normal blue jeans and thick work socks, I bought them back in my skin stage, but I use them at TAFE when I need some clean boots I can wear in class and also in the workshop.

From top to bottom of heel is X inches. Thus being at the rear of the shoe. But if the front of the shoe has a platform then tecnically the 'heel' from top of heel to where the 'toes' are isn't actually X inches.

I've meet 2 people worth having a conversation, luckily they have a "if you don't find anyone you like the first time round, the next time round is free" policy.

Basically you have 6 mins with each person to have a quick conversation, after all when your out at a night club you take 2-3 minutes to for an impression. You then mark your card with yes/no as to wether or not you'd like a date with them, if they marked yes as well they hook you up.

I have only been on 1 of my 2 dates so far and it was pleaseant enough.

I wasn't having a go at you (this time) I was merely amazed that people actually wear 8 inch heels. I would have been amazed whoever it was, as like the picture shows 8 inch heels are pretty extreme, and I had no reason to think they were platforms.
