I just lost a whole lot of respect for the director after reading that.

the movies mad, i just woulda thought he put more thought into it. at the end i was looking up reviews just to get some answers on bits of the storyline that werent resolved and this guys as lost as alot of people are. i would of thought he had a clearer explaination of the events, after all he did write them.

What was Donnie’s journey supposed to convey?

I think in the end it’s all about meeting the girl, getting laid, saving the girl, sacrificing yourself to save the girl (laughing). Studio executives can understand that.

Bow down to the intended depth of story.

(I loved the movie, but not this interview)

I thought the movie was cool until I got into an argument with a friend about what it was supposed to me about & she showed me the directors original intent... that GOD was showing Donnie that his death was not in vain. I originally thought it was about causality closing time loops to prevent paradox's from occuring. When I read the actual story about it just being some lame god-bothering pathetic reason for your mortality... bah!!!!

Id rather be a smelly bogan wang in Ipswich then a small minded wang reload. Im sure there are dorks in Ipswich just like yourself who enjoy beating up on others, perhaps you should take a drive out there and try your thoughts on some of the locals.
