Just wanting opinions on which you guys(and girls) prefered to be called by and in what environments either by your nick or name? (and those ppl with a nick as their name don't count ;) ) I would imagine in a business type environment first name would be used but i mean in everyday life with friends etc..

Pretty much all friends including gf call me Eds , sometimes Matt , which is my name.

Family etc etc call me Matt.

online, ive been spook for years (since early cs days)

in real life im brufty, broughty, broughto, (no doubt due to my surname (broughton)) or even just dave (no one calls me david, cept for mum and woman when ive been norty)

i love nick names and have made heaps for my work mates and sporting team mates, which are nearly always universally excepted, i have a gift for the nickname

People call me browny or brown, my last name is brown that's why.. oh sometimes my friends call me krusty, cause i just got dreadlocks and they are sorta stickin out :/ looks mad though

Family and friends call me Kat.

People at work call me Kat, however I have been asked to use Kathleen in corrospondance because it sounds more 'professional'

At a LAN when I meet someone who doesn't really know me, they'll call me Phar.

Mostly everyone else calls me Allan though.

i've never had a nickname used towards me by more than one person, but at the moment a friend calls me chippy.

Other than that everyone calls me Karl, but i give almost everyone different nicknames.

Nah everyone just called me by my initials, PJ, including teachers. It wasn't until a new teacher came along that I found out my full name. It's not like my parents kept it from me, I just didn't realise that there was anything else so I didn't bother asking.

Well, my first name is Arnold, but the guys just generally call me... Duke. They don't call me "Duke" absolutely all the time. In fact, sometimes months can elapse and they won't call me "Duke" at all. So don't call me "Duke" in front of anyone. Because they might have forgotten. You know that they call me "Duke."

The only people that call me Mantra IRL are QGL peoples, which takes some getting to used to over a QGL weekend. It's fair enough though, that's who I was when they met me. While I was living with Khel and Saint, they'd call me Mantra and it was weird for a bit. A made a point of calling Saint Aaron just to piss him off :)

At work I'm DC, DD, Gibo, Dangerman, Danger Boy, Colorado, Dallas, or my name, Denver.

I also have 5 small people that call me "Daddy", except for the eldest that taken to calling me "Dude" all the time.

I'm called by my Nick except aroung those that I generally have LAN's with...

We had 3 Scott's in our school group, so even all the parent's use to call me Scooter... Something thats stuck through Uni and will no-doubt last for my working life.

I met the gf online, so I was "Froggy" to her parents, and most of the rest of her family for quite a while. They're starting to actually use my real name now, but they still slip up occasionally, and I swear some of them still don't know my actual name.

My mates use both my nick & name pretty interchangably, but I always call Trapper, Trapper IRL, because I know it pisses him off.

I either get called evil, rev or dwevil. At work I get called by my real name but whenever I meet someone from here when I'm out I call them by their online name.

GJ (my first two initials) cause my dad has the same name as me and its rather confusing.
