I got an eclipse CD-3414 for my 91 VN commodore, untill now I had the crappy standard one in it! Since the wiring is all different I was wondering if anyone knew what wire is what on the existing HU, it would save me alot of checking since there is no wiring diagram on it or anything....

Buy a wiring harness for your model car. Very easy.

If that fails get the gregory's/haynes manual for your car and see if that helps.

I got gregory's manual, doesnt really help, it has wiring diagrams but they dont tell me.

yeah, indeed I do, got like 3 multimetres! I just though someone might have done it before me, thus knowing what is what, saving me from doing all they gay testing for the lights, antenna, etc...

Use the test light. Thats what u had to do.

I am sure there would be plenty of commodore specific forums around where people could tell you exactly what colour wire == what. When I had my lil old gemini there was a really good gemini site where people had answers to all my n00b questions :o)

death syndrome, goto http://www.caraudioaustralia.com and ask on there about the h/u. I'm sure that someone will be able to help you.

just contact the manufacturer of the head deck, they will have a wiring diagram. the wires wont be too much diferent to the ones in your car.
