I know theres a few people here who work in various games stores around the place, so does anyone know a release date for Crimson Skies here? Gamesmarket have it listed as October 31st, is that right?

This is a confusing title. When I saw penny-arcade talking about it so fondly I was like what the hell. Turned out a new crimson skies has come out for the xbox.

I straight away linked it to the PC title from all those years ago now.

that date is unofficial. but has been current for a while though, its more a case of wait till the day and find out unfortunately.

Yeah, the version coming on XBox is kinda of a quasi sequel to the original PC one. But apart from keeping the same setting, it bears very little similarity to the PC game. Its more like GTA crossed with MechAssault with planes.

Dunno anything about the release date, but the old crimson skies did kick ass.

plus with Live enabled and downloadable contect

Man I have to pickup the original for the PC. I played it for a while with a joystick, and geezus, so much fun.

Yeah, the original was pretty fun. Except I think I made rockape cry when I kept owning him.

Seems it is in store today.

Crimsons skies was such a win shoot em up Fligh sim, I manged to pick it up off ebay for $5 (pc). Cogs has inbuilt support for the pc version so lets see some games happening now =]

All the EB stores seem clueless of when its coming out. I would have thought they would already have their stocks of it in there waiting to be put on shelves, because all the online stores seem to already have their stock and have started shipping it. But all the EB stores I rang were very hazy on the release date, some even said not till later on in November...

Well, even though EB seemed to have no real idea of when it was coming out when I called yesterday, it was in the store when I went in there today. Just got home with my copy, time to try it on Live :)
