"The Fanimatrix" is a fan-made, zero-budget short film set within the Matrix universe, specifically shortly before the discovery of "The One" (i.e. the first "Matrix" feature film). It tells the story of two rebels - Dante and Medusa - and of their fateful mission onto the virtual reality prison world that is The Matrix.
This was released recently - haven't checked it out myself but its getting a bit of attention so thought it might be worth mentioning. You can download it via BitTorrent (we're seeding the high quality DivX) or you can yoink it from AusGamers Files.

it was pretty lame imo, but i guess it would be better if a budget was involved

it wasnt funny at all, they were acting serious which upped its lame-a-tivity.

some hardcore matrix fans might like it though

That rocked, it was really well done for something with no budget, especially the fight scenes, f***ing awesome.

Very well done for an amateur film imo.

They ripped the arm break thing right out of Jet Li's Fist of Legend though. Lame.

I thought it was awesome for a low budget film. I would of liked to see a better ending but overall it was very well done.

Well not only have they used copyright concepts and story, they've ripped footage and audio directly from the Warner Bros. films.

pfft, i dont think they're going to worry about making the matrix universe bigger and better.

that movie was awesum, as a matrix fan i enjoyed it, especially the fight seens.

the music was well done and that was needed to give it the 'matrix feel'

without the music it would just be some lil fight movie.

the fighting was really well done as well i reakon especially for that low bugget film.

my opinion is that was really well done. awesum
