... Monstrous Regiment is out now - Angus & Robertson at Indro have it for $35 (its $50 at Dymocks, which seems to be their new standard price for new hardbacks).

$50 is f***ing ridiculous.

$35 is still crap, but a bit better I guess.

35 bucks? 50? damn, it wouldnt be so bad if they released the sofbacks at the same time for the regular price. Annoying, f***it I'll wait.

Carpe Jugulum, or maybe Thief of Time. But to be honest, I can't really remember too many of the earlier ones to remember if I liked them better or not cos I read them sooooooooooooooooo long ago and my memory is s***.

Woot! Thanks Trog. Now I got something to read on the train. I think the Discworld books have been getting better. Pratchett's style is getting more polished and the plots are more intricate and involving. The old ones were funny, but Jim Carrey funny not Coen Bros funny :)

I reckon the early discworld books (The Colour of Magic and The Light Fantastic) were bloody brilliant. Rincewind is hilarious and anything involving the Librarian is just pure comedy.

I have all the books up to Thief of time and actually re-read them all before I read thief of time. Might have to get the next few (been slack lately) and re-read them again. Always good for a laugh.
