Lithoptix ADSL

Anyone tried these guys yet, they have extremely good rates and they are a reseller for Connect-AU. I found these guys through broadband choice and just wondering if anyone knew if they were good or not, they offer a True UNLIMITED ADSL service.

Currently Im with Internode 1500/256 Unlimited which is $150 a month. You get capped to 56k after about 22GiG of rolling data.

http://adsl.lithoptix.com/rates.php
Has a 1500/256 Connection at a mere $145.95 a month compared to Internode this is outstanding.

So if anyone has had any good/bad experiences with these guys or another Connect-AU reseller feel free to post it

(Lithoptix is Brisbane Based I believe)

Yeah, doesnt load for me either, allthough I can get to thier www.lithoptix.com fine, the adsl domain wont load a page.

Probably a f***ed up dns somewhere along the way or maybe it's a firewall problem on our end.

going on other peoples experiences in whirlpool, good luck if you need customer support, their service seems to be hot and cold. I haven't found anyone that i know on em, was very curious as it grabbed my eye in bbchoice too.

connect.com.au arent that good, they are AAPT and in the past they were running a very bad network .. bute I guess lately it hasnt been too bad since Netspace is using them and the netspace network is excellent

Sure, IMHO i believe Lithoptix will be very different to Oz-Forces as Lithoptix is on ConnectAU and Ozforces are on Comindico, as Darius said Netspace is on ConnectAU as well and have a stable network...
Im getting signed up soon, let you know how it goes

*fingers crossed*

telstra page = no adsl for you, no cable for you

iinet page = you can get adsl, congradulations! but after doing the actual check, oops, no you can't after all.

Telstra tech 1 = no adsl for you, you on rim!
telstra tech 2 = err, your exchange isnt even adsl enabled

councillor gail mcpherson, local rep = Soz man, i can't do anything about it. in fact, i wanted to get broadband too but can't. you should talk to your federal rep.

fed rep (gary hardgrave), = no response at all.

56k still going strong after 3 yrs

if your desperate ever thought of a satellite system ?

Thats kinda pointless, since you still require a dialup connection for the uploads. :) 1 connection for the price of 2!!

no good satellite plans either... and since you have to both dial in and rely on decent weather the connection tends to be fairly unstabled (i've tried a satellite link before, was with ihug last time. just not worth it, i got more done with a decent dialup connection)

If your going to go with Lithoptix then I'd advise to give this a read first. Its a friends tale of pain with their Customer Service.

haha he wanted what 18 static IP's ?
no wonder they had trouble they had to move him to a business plan....

Yeah true, his requirements are eccentric.. but regardless of the plan it just shows how the customer service is.

Not returning calls, not having a 1300 number available, etc etc.

Other than being uncontactable, I'd signup for them in a flash with those juicy unlimited accounts.

I saw a tracert that was pretty decent aside from the 50 ms ping to sydney, surely thats not normal for adsl?

I Should be getting D.S.L August according to the telstra rollout plan. I am probably going to get lithoptix. I need unlimited DSL because i have a few people using the connection and i cant really cap them because they are paying for it :p lol. The only isp's i know of that have unlimited are Ozforces and Lithoptix and i was just wondering which is better?

Lithoptix is about $70 cheaper then Ozforces for there 1500/256 Unlim plan.

A lot of people have been complaining about ozforces, but then you could say the same about lithoptix. ozforces is a comindico reseller and they have had s***loads of issues lately, theres at least 1 reseller talking about fair use policies. Comindico is getting an upgrade in august apparently, I would wait and see how they go with the upgrade befor I decided.

Comdinco ISP's use like a 30:1 (30 users to 1 mbit) ratio

from what ive heard litho use a 12:1 ratio or something

just a rumor that i saw on whirlpool. Ne ways .. yea the POP is in Brisbane atm .. so obviously all internet traffic gets routed through brisbane .. thus giving Brisbane users the best speed / ping etc.

kthnks :)
