Just made a very small change to AusForums searching thingy which should make life easier for some people - you should now be able to search using the + and - operator to filter out words (just like Google). Let me know how it goes.

Ooh, and I just found out you can use quotes for an exact string, eg: "Enter the Matrix" will only return things with that exact phrase.

Remember, words of 3 characters or less are not counted.

Nice changes, also you can get around the 3 letter limit sometimes, just dont use spaces. For instance if you wanted that Cog (honda ad) thread (thread name: the cog) you would not normally be able to find it but if you type thecog it comes up.

While you're fixing search things, could you also make it so that when you go onto the second page of a search, it'll display the second page of search results, rather than the unfiltered second page of the forum?

This is good change, but why exactly is it that we can't search for words of 3 letters. Also if you can fix that bug with not being able to click to the second or further page of the search, well i'm sure i'd have nothing left to complain about.

why can't we search for 3 letter words? Not that I use search a whole lot, just wondering why you need >3 letters. Is it a program restriction or you just set it up like that?

You can i've posted this a few times before just search for the word with an * attached, for example:
Searching for gay, you would type gay*

You should seriously add this to the search web page...
