Geez i went in there today to buy a switch (netgear 8 port fs108 thing) and damn well stood in line almost an hour (there were all sorts of plebs and fools standing in line too, talking about crap that they didn't understand and making stories about every computer they've owned like they were their children or something - 'ooh, i remember now, my k6-300 was my favourite computer ever! ah the memories.') Anyway, is it always that busy there? It was at least half an hour before i worked my way through the doorway.

Gamedude and The Disc Shop are cheap and dodgy. Gamedude never delivers and The Disc Shop sells dodgy products - f*** - they have no eftpos (yeah! I always carry a couple hundred dollars around with me), they didnt even have a simple box for my OEM DVD - they just handed me the bare drive.

my shop only just got eftpos :)
but that's cause i nagged lots and the teller just accross the road (20 metres) got taken away
it certainly ups sales.

you were lucky mate, gamedude normally takes a good 1 - 1 1/2 hours, and the lazy buggers dont open til 11 or some s***, so u cant go early to aviod the rush, ne how sif u would buy s*** from there, get a wholesaler mate.

OEM doesnt mean that they dont give you like a box of cardboard to take it home in you moron. OEM means no software, no manual -Just sometimes a driver disk and a box.

They didnt even have plastic bags ffs.

I could handle buying a DVD drive without a box, but when I bought a 256MB stick of RAM and the guy pulled it out of his desk draw and threw it on his desk... that s*** me. But he got me a bag, a very not non-static bag he pulled out of his bin...

I can't see how you can call the Disc Shop dodgy, when they sell so many different types of brands of CD's etc it isn't funny. If you think one brand is dodgy, simply buy another.

WHat was really dodgy about the Disc Shop is that I had to change my DVD-ROM 3 times because all of them were faulty. The stupid c***s even made me pay the difference on each model, even after the "techs" had "tested" them and confirmed they were stuffed.

The stupid wankas even wanted me to pay $20 to come in and test it and I told em were to go.

eheh I bought 2 sticks so they needed two to test stuff :p

OEM or no OEM - A warranty still stands and if you havent opened the friggin Drive then it should be free testing. I'm not buying anything but blank cds from those guys again.
