Nick Skitz did one of the best I've heard him do, skitzmix 11 is my fav because of all the bassy boomers and because it has a awesome tracklist.

His last night performance was well over what I thought would be his standards.

Plus I turned 21 yesturday so it was awesome, I was the fella hanging onto the sexy schoolgirl chick(balli). :)

it f***ing rocked, esp with the stop sign ;)

Yeah, it was a f***ing awesome night. Saw Hemmy and Fireblood in there going hard on the dancefloor.

Also, we booked out one of the Indian rooms upstairs which was also awesome. Gave us somewhere to sit and had awesome comfy pillows and seats.

Wow. I can't believe I didn't mention this earlier. I shook hands with the owner of Family. Really f***ing nice guy. While we were sitting down in the ice bar area one of the girls I was chatting to introduced me to him. Him and his son run the place. It was a really cool experience meeting him. Sorta like if you see your favourite singer or something like that.

Well done everybody.

You're a bit grumpy at the moment. Maybe you should have a bit of a nap. And after, your mum can make you a cup of warm milk and some bikkies.

i think everyone should stop trying to be the morality police and let people do what they want. who cares if people take drugs, its their body, choice, perogative, so shut up.

there are two different types of drug takers, (my mate pointed this out to me),

1. there out, they are e'ing and they come up to you and go HEY MAEN IM ON E WICKED ! ! ! LETS GO DANCE! !

2. there out, they are e'ing and they come up to you and go, hey man how you been ? im gonna go hit the dance floor im so pumped.

no.2 are the people that arnt try hards. they dont want the world to know they do drugs, cause it doesnt affect thier cool status. no1's need to tell people they are on drugs to up thier cool status.

I think that is something in your head d0mino. Most mature people are over that kind of popularity s*** you learnt in junior high school. You'll note on this forum sometimes we talk about personal things, like you'd talk to your mates, and if you don't tell your mates you've had two e's and some acid, then who can you tell? No reason to be all closed off about it, I was certainly interested to know what the boys got up to last night, whether that's 'cool' to you or not.

who says you even need to tell your friends? why do you have to tell anyone that you take drugs? I don't go up to my mates & go hey man I took some drugs last night & I'm high as a kite. If they ask me to do something like drive or somethin or ask me why I'm acting funny I'll go yeah I'm out of it or nah, can't drive, too pissed.

secondly i give dais and cyc an AMEM!

and thirdly, basically everyone paying out ppl for takin drugs etc are usually the biggest piss drinkers goin round. they should be the ones that worry, alcahol is the most addictive drug out there. so i think ppl should keep their opinion to themselves cos its not like we go round goin OMG WTF DID U DRINK A CARTON LAST NIGHT ...OH WELL LATER ON IN LIFE HE WILL LEARN OF HIS MISTAKES.

Damn, Morgan. I think I'm gonna have to end it all. You don't respect me anymore. Noooo. And I never said taking drugs was cool, but they definately are fun. That's why I do them. Plus they're cheaper than blowing $100 bucks on alcohol.
i'm sure when he gets into an older age he will realise his mistake and stop doing it. like all smart people will ;)

And Suhaib, I'm 28 years old so I sorta have some understanding of what I'm doing and the consequenses as well. Hell, there are people in their 40's that come into work who take drugs. All have full time jobs too. Wow, how can that be possible???

lol at this thread.

being one of rev's workmates, my opinion is probably a bit more informed (and perhaps biased). rev has always been very much his own man (an odd and eccentric man at times, but definately unique) and is quite secure in the lifestyle choices he makes. although advertising his drug use/misuse was probably not the best way to kick this thread along, it is also not am accurate tool by which to assess or criticize his personality. making it known your opinions on drugs and their use is fine, but don't put someone down for what they choose to participate in.

Rev is a f***ING Champion....End of story. I have NEVER condoned the use of drugs cus i thought they made people addicted and f*** up themselves etc. But Meeting rev at family....he looks like a normal fella, i mean s*** i probly look like the one on drugs cus i usually get pretty f***ed over on alcohol, which gets me going. So now i dont mind so much! I still wont do them but i understand why people do em...probly same reason why i go out and get trashed almost every weekend to have a good time (cept drugs can often be cheaper?).

well its great to see so many people are able to experiment on their own accord, and you can see the people that listen tot he people who stereotype this world.

You can only truly argue that drugs are bad for you once you have had them, and had them properly.

No, you can only truly argue that drugs are bad for you if you have conclusive scientific evidence that is repeatable through experimentation and support by various research. This kind of evidence does not exist for ecstasy, aside from the 5ht neuron thing which in some ways can be seen as a positive effect as it denies an abusers ability to enjoy ectasy if they take it frequently.

I have/had many a friend who are now brain fried due to excessive (read: EXCESSIVE) use of a number of substances. It bites big time.

Every person has a completely different opinion on how dangerous each drug is/isn't. The only real proof I have is watching people f*** up when they do take too much over an extended period of time.

I know I'm stating the bleeding obvious, but the key is to be aware when your "moderation" turns into a problem. That line gets awfully grey sometimes.

I generally define it as a problem when it starts effecting people around you in a negative aspect. I don't really care if you damage yourself.

Drugs aren't bad or good. It's how people use them that makes them good or bad.

Thats my 2 cents!

Plz explain why peoples die from using?

The simple fact that it isn't a regulated industry leads to varing degree's of strength and quality that can also lead to negative effects apon the user of said substance. I have no moral ground on drugs as there are plenty of legal ones that have proven addition and ill effect apon its user, therefore it is all choice.

Gumby, well you pretty much answered it yourself. People don't die from using drugs responsibly, they die because they misuse them. If recreational drugs could be bought in prescribed dosages from a pharmacist, then I'm sure at least people would be more confident in knowing the amount they've taken is safe (and that they're actually getting what they paid for). Though, I don't see how you could accidently eat too many ecstasy tablets without first feeling that your wallet feels amazingly light.
The dangers are overdose, and buying something that isn't actually ectasy. That's why people die.

there are two different types of drug takers, (my mate pointed this out to me),

1. there out, they are e'ing and they come up to you and go HEY MAEN IM ON E WICKED ! ! ! LETS GO DANCE! !

2. there out, they are e'ing and they come up to you and go, hey man how you been ? im gonna go hit the dance floor im so pumped.

What's the difference between 1 and 2. They sound the same to me. Hell, If I see someone I know in a club I'll tell 'em what I'm doing, but I don't go around acting all high and mighty. Sounds like your mate needs to get some facts straight.

I gotta say. Of people who I know who f***ed themselves up it's because they did something really stupid. They didn't deserve what they got, but they sure as s*** should have used some common sense. These things wouldn't have happened if they simply knocked a few brain cells together.

This kind of evidence does not exist for ecstasy..

Brain imaging research in humans indicates that MDMA causes injury to the brain, affecting neurons that use the chemical serotonin to communicate with other neurons

I never ever thought that I could get addicted to drugs.
I did. I used to boot speed and take other drugs as well eg. ectasy...(mainly).
My ex was so addicted he quit everything - including his job and me and started dealing drugs and living above a nightclub in the valley as a cleaner - from being a carpenter.
I left him.
It has been one year since I've had any drugs.
I miss them and I will for the rest of my life. My life will never be the same again.
But on the bright side some of my friends are going through what I did. But you can't tell them to stop coz hey they're addicted....and they don't know it.
Good luck guys.

Anything I've learnt on drugs has stayed with me and become part of my personality. So if by doing something of suspect judgement, you mean having a deeper awareness of people around me, being able to enjoy myself on the dance floor, and appreciate house music, then yeah I've done those things, and I continue to do them while not on drugs :D

I've done nothing nearly as bad on drugs as I've done while drunk.

Well I can safely say I'm not addicted to them. I try and space it out to a month each time, which works out well because there is always a good DJ playing somewhere within that time frame.

Damn! I wasn't counting on an Internet website run by an organisation whose sole purpose is to convince people that drugs are bad, to post an unsubstantiated quote proving once and for all that all those idiot scientists were wrong after all!!

It's also fun watching people bag others when they've never done anything that the arguement is about in the first place.

In regards to my previous post, and with clint BEASTwood accusing me of being wrong, I should also add that the particular 'injuries' he was talking about, I have already discussed on this thread, and there is research evidence showing that serotonin recepters repair themselves over several months, after daily usage of ecstasy for a week. If your 5ht neurons can recover from that kind of abuse, then casual usage of this drug is not a worry. Furthermore you don't actually need these neurons for anything substantial other than being able to feel good after ectasy. So in a way if you really did damage them and they didn't fix themselves, all that would mean is that you wouldn't have to take pills anymore because they wouldn't work!
Also ecstasy is not addictive, sonnet, therefore I believe you are neglecting to tell us what other drugs messed you up, to get you addicted to lifestyle you were leading, and not to the subtance MDMA.

Its funny that you say that MDMA is not addictive when there are people out there who are addicted to them and cannot live without taking them!!!!!!!!!
It is not so much the addiction that is bad with MDMA but peoples' mood swings when not taking them, how they treat other people(including their children!!!!) and the people who commit suicide after taking of this drug.

By the way even though I overused drugs I am not against them as they do generally open up peoples minds to amazing things - such as like son of the sun said the music. And also peoples feelings and even what they are thinking!!!

Have you seen the brain scans of heavy extacy users?
They look like an old sponge, full of holes, whereas a "normal" brain is much more solid looking.
Yes i did post the first site i came to, whereas you just made an unsubstantiated comment of your own, saying there are no studies.

You'll find that the addiction is not chemical, but psychological, meaning basically that it was the addictee's fault they got addicted to something - anything, not specifically the drug in question. It just so happens they turned to drugs because they had an addictive personality in the first place. There is certainly a correlation between such people and drugs, but I would disagree with anyone who said that drugs caused them to become like that, because the vast vast majority of drug users do not become like that, just as the vast majority of people with drivers licenses do not die in road collisions.

Being old skool drug scene (dirty s*** like coke, speed acid and of course pot), I took a consience decision over 10years ago to not take drugs anymore. Why? Because I noticed that my quick witted friends, who where full of life where becoming slow witted and more and more less willing to go anywhere except the couch next to the bong. Now most of my mates only do/did pot, a few of experimented with other substances like myself but really only ever took pot on a regular basis. Now they are all fully functional, but they have a dependency on being high, that leads to axiety if this uphoria isn't induced at least once a day. Are they addicted? If you ask them they will say no, but the reallity is quite the opposite.

On a final point about e's not being harmful to you, I worked with several young persons over the past 5 years that have undergone some major personality and attitude changes while on or under the influence of said drug. One of my ex's was a regular on the stuff (2 e's every weekend fri and sat), I left her not cause of the drug use but because of the recovery, which was taking longer and longer. Telling her that the drug was f***ing her, would only result in "no e's have no adverse effext on you", so now @ just 28 she's totally f***ed after 6 years of doing this to her system. She too started out on just 1 every now and then, but eventually would do 2 a night every fri and sat as that was moderate in her opinion.

Yes. Let me guess, you saw that episode of Oprah too?

I am an ecstasy user, would you like to scan my brain and compare it to yours? How about comparing a non-ectasy user's brainscan who has been using hard drugs regularly with mine? Your argument is one of shock campaigning and misleading allusion, not of facts.

I never said there were no studies. Many good scientists have tried to find out the long-term effects of MDMA use, and nothing negative has ever been proven, despite what biased leaflets from the Government may try to lead you to believe.

GumbyNoTalent, I am sorry about your ex. I agree that her behaviour (2 e's a week) was excessive, and risky. I know a guy like that myself; I love hanging out with him and he's cool - but I never have to be there for his recovery. I myself have never experienced a bad come down, but I will concede that I am wierd.
I am curious to know more about what you mean by
she's totally f***ed after 6 years of doing this to her system

And if this is a doctor's opinion, or just you saying you don't love her anymore ;)

Her whole self and physical system is shot from prolonged periods of awakeness every weekend and repeated abuse of system during recovery, has made her a very old looking 28, who now believes that too have a good time she needs to be on e's.

I actual still see her, and we are good friends, but our attitudes to drug use are in opposite directions. As I said earlier most thing in moderation or within the boundaries that don't shock your system is exceptable (especially when you are younger), but when it is obvious to all that you are doing yourself harm either directly or indirectly (as in not sleeping for 2 days every weekend for years), its time to re-evaluate.
