Hey does anyone actually want a gamecube.. i mean.. are there any really good games with em?

It's just that i've got a mate who's selling one plus a couple of games (click here if you're interested) and I'm just wondering whether i should buy it myself..

I'm not really into fps games on consoles insofar as the control system seems totally retarded to me.. but idno.. if it was really good like splinter cell and was ONLY available on gamecube i might get one :)

any thoughts?

I'd stick with the PC. I bought an Xbox about 8 months back and although I had fun with it, eventually I ended up straight back on the PC. There's just so much more you can do with a PC and it's no where near as restrictive as a console is in terms of management and customisation.

Plus you can't play RTS titles on a console and they are some of my favourite games!

Mouser you obviuously aren't a console person then.

If it has Games you want buy it. But buy it for games! Not the latest racing game or ninja slashing game. But good solid unique games.

i love my gamecube, as it is totally perfect for a multi player environment. break it out when you are having a few drinks (or whatever) and mash away. the pc is heaps better for fps games, and yes there is a lot more you can do on it, but the cube is perfect for some group fun (as is twister)

Well if you broke it, it's not covered by warranty. You're supposed to send it back to the manufacturer for repairs.

The only game on GC thats fun is Super Monkey Ball. And Super Smash Bros is way better on N64.
