Didn't see any mention of one of Logan City's Biggest LAN events, so thought I'd post some info and a link.

Render 2003 will be held on the 5th and 6th of April 2003, with the LAN Gaming component running overnight starting at 9am Saturday and running till 4pm Sunday.

It will run overnight so bring a sleeping bag if you want to crash.

Render 2003 is being held at the Logan Entertainment Center in Woodridge.

Parking is situated behind the Entertainment Center so you don't have to drag your system too far.

Security guards will be present during Render 2003 but PLEASE NOTE that your equipment is your own responsibility.

There will be a lucky door prizes, design competition prizes, and gaming contest prizesThe lucky door prize is only from 9am to 12pm so get in early!

Food/drink is purchasable within the Logan Entertainment Center. No food or drink is to be brought into the complex.

Cost for 2 days of LAN is $25.

Not only will a LAN be on, but there will be a few live bands performing outside and also some seminars will be held in elsewhere in the complex, for those interested in a distraction from gaming =]

You can register for it there, and get alot more info on whats going on.

does that mean you can't bring your own food? how f***ed is that. What kind of event doesn't allow you to bring snacks? If I hide chips inside my CD folder instead of CD's I think I'll be safe. Or does it mean you just can't eat inside you have to go outside to eat?

I think it means you cant eat inside the Complex, which isnt the same as the hall. I'll see if I can clear that up.

Ok, you cant eat your own food in the complex, only stuff you buy there. But, you are more than welcome to go outside and eat. There will be live shows and performances going so eh, upto you what you want to do.

If I recall, maccas and kfc are a short walk as well.

Its the complex rules not the LAN organisers, but hell, you can sleep there! =]

Suhaib: i think u'll find there are hardly any ""lebs"" in woodridge...

Also, just thought I'd mention, after talking to one of the organisers I found that there are only about 150-200 spots available. So get in quick if you want a spot.

Btw, I used to live in Woodridge, it's not that bad really, the location of this LAN in particular is one of the main roads right beside the library and swimming pool.
