People what is the best P4 motherboard out. I don't want audio or video onboard but maybe things like RAID, SATA support.

Thanks for any advice.

I'm happy with my p4s8x, but that's got a heap of onboard s***. Sound, NIC, something like 8 USB ports. It's all crazy.

If you're going Rdram (1066) then I can recommend the Asus P4t533-C.

very nice board.

I was looking at one of the new dual channel DDR boards but don't know. I don't want to have to get different RAM for it.

Gigabyte 8INXP is very nice - it's by most reports better than the ASUS dual-channel board.

Otherwise get an IT7-MAX2, a P4PE deluxe, or an Epox 4PEA+

intel dual channel boards are too expensive right now, the best p4 boards (non-dual) are IT7-MAX2, a P4PE deluxe, or an Epox 4PEA+

or if you're elite you'll buy the P4B533

actually i lie the P4PE and the 4PEA+ and the IT7-MAX2 are better but i'm pretty happy with the p4b533 so if you're worried about price then go for that one

I love Gigabyte now, my last 3 mobo's have been ASUS but now i am gonig back to gigabyte mainly because all reviews i read give them the thumbs up over Asus and also becasue they out perform asus and also have more features than the asus boards.

Nto sure how they compare in overclocking wise but i don't care about overclocking, standard speed is fast enogh for me now days ... if it is too slow then just buy a new one :)
