A PC to phone call is just the same as playing a game or downloading a file from non-free list servers. If you don't want to use your allowance on PC-to-phone calls, don't make them.

I was not wineing about the fact it is only 1 mb i should of put a few other things in the post but
it is alitte bit ripe for them to say yes it is counting to your download limit, and you have to pay X amount to use it was well.
if you use this function alot yes it will mount up,it will get expensive your monthly fee + your cost for the call.
I just find it alittle wrong when they make soo much on everything they have.
The infrastucture is all reay there and cost them no extra for them to send your voice or IP ( i think whats what they are doing)

And if you say "aww I can't afford a normal phone" then piss off your broadband connection that you use to play CS 24/7 & leech porn and get a normal phone line if you want to talk to people that bad......or tell them to get MSN or ICQ or how about *gasp* EMAIL!?

Whats a local call cost? 20 cents?
Ok, 3000*0.20 = $600.
Are you paying $600 for your cable?

(Then again, if you wanted a 30000 minute local call conversation...normal phone calls do end up a bit cheaper :)

I think the point iceclimber made is totally valid. The very reason pc to phone calls were cool was BECAUSE they were free/cheaper than local call costs. I still can't believe it's almost 2003 and we are STILL being charged for local calls. Hell, I was in Hong Kong in 1990 and local calls were free there then. Instead of gay pay-per-play phones they just had normal pick up phones.

Again, it's the sad old case of being screwed by the monopoly. Line rental is sufficient, local calls should be free - Telstra do NOT incurr a cost per local call to provide this service to Australia, bar maintainance.

Here we go again!!. Telstra always seem to up the costs of telephone and broadband. its stupid. boy i had a bad experience with telstra cable, i was on a 3 gig limit on cable. I went over the download limit, in a 3 month bill it was 4 grand.... so i was pissed
