As we all know smokers have to smoke in designated areas (outside somewhere), well did you know this, say you're in a pub for example and all your mates are sitting outside in the smoking area, well it's illegal to bring food into the designated smoking area!!

look I hate smoking as much as the next person but trying to tell people what they can and can't do in their home is taking it too far
rather than banning smoking, you'd have to ban the sale of cigarettes/tabacco - which I'm still not OK with because if people chose to indulge in their guilty pleasures then that is their problem right up until it imposes upon someone elses rights (like being able to eat a meal without inhaling filthy cigarette smoke)

don't even get me started on banning "drugs" like marijuana when cigarettes and alcohol are not only legal but widely socially accepted
when prohibition came in everyone went f*** that, stupid law and ignored it
then it was over turned, just because less people did that about marijuana doesn't make it any more of a stupid law - the research has proven time and time again that the initial fears of pot were completely incorrect
