Document Freedom Day is almost upon us - the day, a "grassroots effort to educate the public about the importance of Free Document Formats and Open Standards in general". Google Australia are hosting an event in Sydney tomorrow to help promote the day, presumably as part of their frontal assault on all things Microsoft - but there's little argument that open document standards is a good thing. I think you are right, they recently changed their motto 'do good.. unless challenged by communists'. doesn't quite have the same ring to it, does it? but hey, firing squad is firing squad.
