Hey guys, just came across this - it's a petition for the new Golden Eye that was 3 weeks off getting released on Xbox 360 Xbox Live Arcade. I was a die hard Golden Eye 64 kid so I'm doing my part to get the word around in hope that this game will be close to the epic scale of the original (if it gets released)!

Who cares?

No really, i dont see the big deal in old games that i got over a loooong time ago, whenever i have checked out old "classic" games, my reaction was "sure it used to be fun, what came out this century that i can play"

I was heavily into quake when golden eye was out on 64. Everyone used to rave about it - it was absolute s*** i don't know what the big deal was about - they should have played some pc fps games.

I'm hoping Microsoft and Nintendo will come to an agreement which will see the old rare games released on both platforms.
Minus the games based on Nintendo characters.

I'd love some Banjo Kazzoie and Conker action.

i was in primary school when golden eye 64 was the s***. i think if i was a little older i would have discovered quake and played it. but i still play golden eye to this day, it rocks.

sceptically i dont think a new golden eye could ever top the game play of the original. people aren't as easily entertained these days.

So youre saying that goldeneye is only entertaining if youre easily entertained?
I better go sign that petition!

I voted in the daylight savings online petition - I'm sure it'll kick in any time now

Sure doesn't take long for someone to throw in the ol' console vs PC argument, because apparently people aren't allowed to enjoy both.

While I can't remember where I got the info from - the understanding I had was that the first two Banjo games will be released on the XBox Arcade thingy around the time of release of the third installment.

Alas, no love for Virtual Console.. :(

What happened to rare? They were by far the best console developer at the time of the playstation/64

I played it the once - it was pretty damn cool considering it was on a console in the day.

still - it got boring after less than a week - back online we go.

Proxy and Timed mine fights with 3 or 4 players was brilliant fun. The timed mines were great because you could throw one at somebody and blow it up in their face.

I'm more interested in where Goldeneye Source could head now though since there is plans to rebuild the single player component.

Microsoft got them. They've been working on Banjo 3 for XBox 360. :)

this is dumb.

it will end up on the Wii Shop before Nintendo will let it go on Xbox Live.
