Nintendo have announced a newly coloured DS:
Ice Blue is the new colour to join the current Polar White, Black and Pink colours for Australia's highest selling console for 2006 and 2007*. The new Ice Blue coloured Nintendo DS Lite will be available on July 19th, for an SRP of $199.95.

With the expansion of the 'Touch! Generations' series of products, and the new colour, Nintendo DS is positioned perfectly to continue expanding its demographic reach.
Some pictures are available on the press release page.

That's all good & proper DM, but keep in mind that the DS is aimed at all markets - not just the "hardcore gamer" market (And I use that because I can't think of the other word Nintendo uses to describe that segment).. Stuff like Cooking Mama, Phoenix Wright & Nintendogs aren't meant to appeal to those of us who find the idea of cooking with a stylus somewhat silly and unattractive.

If there has to be a dozen of those sorts of games to every one or two Castlevania: Dawn of Sorrow or New Super Mario Bros, then I've no problems. Not to mention it keeps them (the big N) motivated to continue supporting the NDS :)

So um, FF3, Puzzle Quest, Etrian Oddyssey, NSMB, Elite Beat Agents, Castlevania: Dawn of Sorrow, Pokemon Diamond / Pearl, Mario Kart, Yoshi's Island, Dragon Quest: Rocket Slime, Children of Mana, Hotel Dusk, Contact, Trace Memory, Tetris DS, Advance Wars, Meteos etc... Those games aren't good enough, or what?

But yes, you're right, there was some japanese private-rubbing game released, that means all DS games are crappy.

Some people are hard to please I guess.

Pft like hell you don't, that game looks awesome!

Nintendogs and Mario Kart almost convinced me for about 2 days. But then I began to wonder where I would find the time to use it.

Why have they not released Lemmings for the DS?

i have mario kart ds, kirby canvas course, magical starsign, children of mana and metroid prime hunters and they are all brilliant games. these are among some of the only good ones though. i plan to pick up FF3 and Etrian Oddyssey when i can afford it/they become avaliable. then again im pretty picky with my games. as for all the others you mentioned pharcyde ive never heard of them.

well... cept pokemon but cmon that is so '98. id feel embarrased to go into a store and say "yes ill take 1 pokemon diamond thanks"

I picked up Elite Beat Agents and its good, stupid silly fun. I'm all for any game that is about secret agents with afros that save the planet from being hit by a meteor by dancing.

Because Sony bought Psygnosis out over 10 years ago.

Children of Mana
Is f***ing s***e. Whoever thought of the "you can't equip items in the middle of a quest" idea up should be prevented from ever making a video game again.
