Downloading now at 1.2meg a sec. Hugs optus cable and Ausgamers.

Haven't played a good racing game for a while. Last one I tried was Test Drive Unlimited and that was complete ass.

Does anyone else have a wheel for the 360? Man I suck with it but I don't have a table to fasten it to.

Anyone else tried it on their lap and then whacked it on a table and found it s***loads easier? Because I really want to use the wheel but I suck with it so so much :(

I got a wheel. It's 100% easier when it's on a table =P Also you just suck

Cool but I might be able to suck less if I attach it to a table.

the 360 wheel kinda has a molded base so it can sit in your lap, or an attachment so it can be put on the edge of a table. I guess with the ff disabled it'd be fine in your lap.

oh dear. s*** game alert

f***off gay menus. oh great no clutch control.

yea it looks pretty, but runs like s*** on minumum on my slightly aging PC.

strange that the harder difficulties were not available..
but the physics on medium only compare to mario kart. have fun console noobs.

richard burns rally is still the undisputed king.

Do the physics tend towards realism like the GT games or bend the rules a little in the name of fun like PGR or Need for Speed? Cos I'm not really a fan of super realistic racing sims, but I dig the ones that ease off on the realism just a bit and throw in a smattering of arcade style fun.

Physics are very arcade like, to the point where the car doesn't actually feel connected to the road.

Looks crazy nice on my 8800GTS on mostly high settings. Chugged like a biatch on the buggy race when there was multiple buggies on screen though.

Cars smash up nice, so much detail even inside the car from 3rd person view. Driver reaches down to change and head moves and everything.

However I also sux very much at the racing with a keyboard. I might get my wheel out later if I could be bothered.

to me the buggy type thing seems to hold onto the dirt a bit too well... like a little bit of braking is enough to turn it around the hairpin without any slide.. And on the uphill thing it felt like i had to work a bit hard to unweight the thing at the back and turn it round.. i've got no idea what a rally car should feel like in that sort of thing but it seemed that mashing the handbrake didn't let the rear swing enough asif the cars were plagued by that horrible 'pivot off a central point' some early rally games experienced..

Sure did; it replaced my HDTV set-top box, media centre, and my previous games console (360).
Can you play xvids off your PC? Do you need to unrar tv shows before playing them? Can it play DVDs in ISOs over the network? Does it support x264/h264 format? What about wmvhd?

The money I made selling those 3 units covered the cost of my PS3, and then some.
haha you'd f***ing hope it would!

I might be wrong, but don't you need an HDTV set-top box to watch HD free-to-air? I assume the PS3 doesn't have something like that in it, does it?

thanks for the info rec, I think i'll wait to xbmc is ported, which u wouldn't think would take long as the impression I get is it's basically a gui on top of mplayer , then i'll look at getting a ps3 to replace my xbox and upgrade to a hd tv.

I don't think the 360 will ever do it right as microsoft is too focused on leveraging and product cripling cross promotion to release a good product in this fields.
