You can browse webpages :p
Bah, online multiplayer on portable devices seems like a bit of a silly idea since most people play their DS while travelling, and there aren't any hotspots on buses or trains :/ It's another thing to play with a mate if you are both going somewhere, but you don't need online connectivity for that anyways. |

I wonder if the wifi hotspots just treat it as a regular connection. Would be cool if someone found out how it connected and just hacked it to work on a normal laptop.

be interesting, considering on the website it says u just go near the hotspot there is no extra authenticating it apparently just works, so an interesting thought.
IIRC all telstra hot spots use Cisco AP's =], but im confounded as to why they havent boasted the new hotspots and upped the connections to 8mb's or 20mbs where available, since they are all(well 98%) 1500/256 adsl connections, sadness ;( |

Would be cool if someone found out how it connected and just hacked it to work on a normal laptop.Yeh, this seems like it must be rife for exploitz. Someone take a packetsniffer and a DS to their local Maccas. You won't look weird or nerdy, promise. edit: that is probably incitement to commit some sort of fraud under some lame law. For legal purposes, the above comment was a joke and should not be taken seriously. Do not access the internet on a shared wireless connection without the owners permission. Etc. last edited by trog at 17:52:29 05/Apr/07 |

It's somewhat dumb. Probably about the only really bad thing I could say about the DS really.
Other than the lack of C&C and Warcraft ports on it that is... |

you don't have to buy it.
I really wouldn't even bother. Btw, the browser is made by Opera as they are partnered with Nintendo. They also make the Wii browser (free until July, $5 download after that. The final version of the Wii browser is out sometime this month. http://www.opera.com/products/devices/nintendo/ last edited by partyhat at 14:45:15 06/Apr/07 |
