parabol points out this greasemonkey script for Firefox that pops up a handy download menu when you're visiting Apple's movie trailers website. You'll need to install the Greasemonkey Firefox extension/add-on for it to work. And of course be running Firefox.

I download them so that I can show others later (and convince them to purchase an early ticket for me :P)

nothing actually "confirms" it installing - just look at the screenshots on the page and see if that little download box displays for you on the apple trailer site

when I clicks on the movie links I get a dialog asking me to save it or play it or download then play it or download then save it or then play it or nuke the site from orbit. It came from that quicktime alternative so if you install that you can also download them.

I have the greasemonkey thing for saving youtube videos as well :)

I've watched the 300 trailer like 30 times (seriously). It's better than most of the movies I've seen in the last couple of years, and I hope the full movie is anywhere near as good. If its not I'll just put the trailer on again.

demon: f*** off quicktime and install VLC:

in fact, I would recommend getting rid of all codecs and relying solely on VLC. Never worry about conflicting/outdated codecs and codec packs again.

Yeah that's my opinion. It plays 99% of material without any f***ing around.

It even plays those .flv files that "Youtube video download" sites give you.

While I like VLC, for some reason it crashed when trying to play some of my DVD's no matter what version I used, so my favourite media player is mplayer classic + ffdshow.

Quicktime Alternative lets you save MOVs, and the Apple site already allows downloads of HD trailers.
