Activision have released the playable demo for Call of Duty 4, offering a sample of the game's Singleplayer campaign. Word is:
The demo features one single player mission called "The Bog," which lets the player try out a variety of weapons, tank destruction, tank protection, night vision and all of the intense action and firefights you've come to expect from a Call of Duty game.

Well that looked pretty and ran surprisingly awesome for how good it looked.

Not really a big fan of the whole get hit a bunch of times and go hide and regenerate. Other than that its a very sweet looking spamtastic run and gun FPS.

To me it's clearly better than the old find the arbitrarily placed healthpack.

i'd rather something where you have to get cover and then call in medical support, which takes x seconds and if they don't get to you in time you die.

but whatever.

IMO it makes the gameplay become grossly unrealistic in an otherwise very realistic environment.

Rather than just getting hit a s***load I personally would prefer some kind of suppression meter/rate of fire coming in from a certain direction.
The higher the meter the higher chance you will get hit if you venture out from behind cover. With bullets whizzing by and pinging all around you I don't see why it would be any less intense.

Take a hit in the body armour/helmet you go down and get dragged off by allies and recover. Otherwise if you are unlucky you get shot in the face/whatever you die and reload the last checkpoint.
