F.E.A.R was one of the best LAN games I have ever played.

With the right teamwork, you could have some of the most epic and rewarding narrow-corridor battles in bullet-time :P

Thumbs up!

You don't need to - it's a free, standalone game.

Oh really, when you said free I thought you meant free with game. Like as if those bf2 booster packs are the standard these days.

most said no at the time for what I can only guess came down to 3 reasons:

- Q4 and HL were still new at the time, and automatically more popular

- the game couldn't be warezed and played online.

- system specs were quite high. Pre-NVidia 6600GT videocards won't play FEAR well, so playing competitively is a no-go. If you bought a second-rate motherboard or videocard this game would chew it up and spit it back to you. I found it funny FEAR ran so bloody well on Intel-based computers for some reason :P

the guys who are making this free sure look to be spamming us till the end of time.. but that's what random yahoo/gmail/hotmail/work accounts are for :)

there's an unsubscribe option there. but yeah, FEAR rocked. and whoever said that SP was boring was playing it at the wrong pace :)

MP was pretty fun for a while.

Oh, actually just discovered they added new gamemodes in patch 1.05. That's pretty cool. This could be quite a lark.
