A minor update has been released for the v2.0 series of Firefox, taking it to version 2.0.0.1, fixing some security problems and improving Vista support. Download it for Windows, Mac OS X and Linux locally from AusGamers.

My ProxyButton extension broke but everything else works fine with it so far.

edit: turns out that (and another extension that broke after the 2.0 upgrade) can be fixed by just editing the config file and changing the 'maxversion' field for that extension.

My options were link directly to each platform, or provide one link. It's Christmas time, I'm lazy.

I actually didn't realise, but there's an update to the 1.5.0.x branch as well (which I still prefer); I'll mirror later.

In the meantime, help->check for updates.

If Opera's tabs had a more natural feel to them then I'd consider switching.

define a natural feel. I use opera more than FF now because FF takes about a minute to start up and opera starts up a second or two after I've clicked the icon. I have no problem with opera's tabs, in fact they seem pretty similar to firefox to me. The only beef I have is that I can't just middle click my homepage button or bookmarks to open them in a new tab, although the bookmarks thing is an option I believe.

^ When I close a tab, it doesn't go to the next tab but the previously viewed one.

It's a problem because I usually open up tabs in a specific order (slashdot and digg articles), so I care about what tab gets shown next when I close the current one.

I've messed around with the related settings but it doesn't help.

Half a second average for me. Maybe a second or two on a fresh boot and first run.

I think I know what whoop's problem is:

I just installed this latest version, I must say I like the look and feel of the old version better :/

The only reason I upgraded was foxsports site wasn't rendering correctly under my old version, it was all over the f***ing place..

V2.0 seems a little quicker...
