A patch for Battlefield 2142 has been released; you can download it locally from AusGamers. Update: This patch causes a problem when, in Titan mode servers, up to 90% of clients will CTD (Crash to Desktop) on level change. Dice have provided a possible fix, blaming the problem on video drivers: Please delete your cache in the My Documents\Battlefield 2142\mods folder and the file icontent.cache. This may help some and NVIDIA driver version 91.31 is confirmed to run with out crashing after clearing your cache. Please roll back to version 91.31. You can download this driver here: http://download.nvidia.com/Windows/91.31/91.31_winxp2kmce_english_whql.exe |

Ahh. So it's never been about dodgy programming and rushing the game out, it's been the video card manufacturers fault all along.
I apologise to EA. |

Ahaha, I deleted my post asking if this patched fixed the piece of s*** that was the unstable BF2142, and it looks like it made it worse.
I agree with Rev, fagg0ts can't take responsibility for their own piece of s*** programming and products. EA should be banned from making/distributing (whichver it is they do, or both) anything but sports games, useless @#$nts push things out too fast for $$ bling bling $$ |

Monkey_Magic:
As did I, however, I can't locate any actual law etc on it an hey, I'm no legal eagle. I am however capable of figuring out how to strip content from s*** I'm not interested in participating in. If the game requires it, then I'll weigh up the pro's an con's of the games requirements and how much I wish to participate of it. Same yet different to blocking ad's concerning QGL QGL/Ausgamers need the revenue even though I never buy anything from what's advertised here. Game publishers such as EA are just milking it Yes, I also realise the irony of my sig - So I will take the first step (sorry dude, no pun intended) Hi, My name is HERMITech and (at time of post) it's been 412:32:57 since I last played |
