The World of Warcraft public test realm patch 2.0 is out. You can download the WoW downloader from here or download it from AusGamers here.

If you don't like/hate WoW thats cool, it isn't for everyone unlike your mum.

I really don't think that is an AusGamers quality post, I don't think you'd see trog making bad your mum jokes.

You might get sacked trent!

So what happens? You download this and play on a 'test' server? What the f*** is that? Can you use your character? Can someone explain this?

You download the patch and then transfer a character (through the WOW homepage) onto the test server, and then you test the patched content....pretty simple.

Can you transfer your character back afterwards?

You transfer a character to the test realm, you don't actually move it there.
That means your normal character on the server it's come from isn't effected (and doesn't benefit) by anything you do, or loot you collect on the test realm.

character copy is closed until they finish extended maintenance. That is some time on the 16th for you and me I believe.

yea its a copy, not a transfer.. but the test servers usually have 3000+ queues.. well they used to when i played.. speaking of which.. anyone tried this out yet? seems to be some decent changes, wondering how they play out

It's why I enjoy playing on the Closed Beta servers for the expansion pack instead - can test all these changes without having to put up with 3000+ people (mostly retards may I add) trying to get onto the server to see what exploits they can do or other stupid things.. at least this time they haven't allowed pre-made characters to be copied over (pre-made = instant level60 toons with decent gear.)
