Eurogamer are reporting that Gran Turismo 5 on the PlayStation 3 will be released in 2007, announced by Polyphony Digital boss Kazunori Yamauchi in a recent interview.

While most of the interview related to the older games in the series, Yamauchi commented that he "hopes that GT5 will be finished during 2007", and that the next game will be "100 times more detailed than GT4" - although he didn't say whether this relates merely to graphics or also to other elements of the game, such as physics or vehicle tuning.

GT 5 is sure to be another best seller.

I had a dream last night that some kid stole my GT4, so I tortured him until he told me where he hid it.

You've gotta play it on a steering wheel and gear stick to get the most out of it.

They may as well say "PS3 is being released in 2007" because surely they'd want this as a launch title?

GT5 has never been cited as a launch title Khel, they have plenty of other console-sellers lined up

I know it hasn't been cited as a launch title, I just would have thought it'd make sense to use it as a launch title. I mean, its the sort of huge title that'd make people go out and buy a PS3 just so they could play it.

Why can Forza have a realistic damage models on "realistic cars", but for some reason, Gran Turismo will never, ever have it?

Also, in terms of just about everything, Forza was better than GT4. Except in terms of FPS.

as for forza
i love it
damage
better handling (realistic even)
better sound track (my own mp3s)

only issues were the shortness of view on some tracks
oh and it sf***ing hard

imho gt3 > gt4
I hate the gt4 interface, hope they un-f***torise it for gt5. Also bring back free free runs.
