Says it all really ...

Although many took it as a sign it had gone gold, it is in fact been delivered for final testing before the burning begins. It looks like the last time Lionhead will be touching the code until it arrives in our hot little hands !!!@!

On that note, there 's some conflicting stories on the release date being pushed FORWARD from March 28th to March 2nd. Welcome relief for the 750,000+ fans that have pre-ordered....

YES! go the evil animals. I want to get an evil tortoise. BIG STORY but good.

A woman came out of her house and started to pray to her god (Peter M.), her brother was dying and had been lost in the forest, and she wanted Peter to rescue him. Peter didn't consider himself to be a charity, so Peter picked up this woman and chucked her around a lot until she died. That was a fairly evil thing to do, and Peter could have just left the corpse. However, in the spirit of being truly evil, he took the woman's corpse and went looking her dying brother. He found this guy who was on his last few breaths, and dropped his dead sister right in front of him. The shock of seeing and her gave him a heart attack, and he died. The audience (at the venue where this was taking place) let out a cheer, I didn't because I am pro-good, and I will crush you evil sadists when the game is released ... One good thing that did happen, is because Peter played the scenario to the extreme, so he was rewarded with a spell, which incidentally was the shield spell. So much for protection, eh? :)

hehehe gotta love it

That happened in Black and White as one of the quest type things that were offered.

A woman wanted you to find her husband and since you have total control over what you do the developer got REALLY evil.

Theres no such thing as total control, "total control" is the sort of marketing term you put on the box of your game to sell copies. You can have a lot of control, and the boundaries of where your control ends can be cleverly disguised, but theres no way you can have total control.

Any game which bills itself as letting you do anything you want, gives you total control, etc, etc, etc usually pisses me off with its arrogance long before it comes time to decide whether to get it or not.

I haven't read much about black and white, and I'm not saying it sarks, but if they're billing it as some game that lets a player do anything he/she wants then they're full of s***.

So which guy in that picture is Peter Molyneux anyway?

The guy on the far right....the one that looks like Hannibal Lector.

They are saying the game has incredible control..Obviously a game that has TOTAL control isn't a game at all.

Has anyone besides them actually played it yet? Like, has the only demonstration of the amount of control you have been when Peter M was demoing it to whoever? Cause as the developers they're of course not going to do anything that makes it look like you dont have lots of control. They'd know how many eventualities had been coded for and which were the kewlest to show off and just do them.

I remember one instance when the developer surprised themselves.

the creature was told to only eat the most nourishing stuff and so he started eating his own leg or something.
That sounds pretty global to me :P

Well Peter M has been showing it around to heaps of internet gaming sites, and several magazines in the UK have reviewed it already and every review/preview/hands-on has had positive results.

If its as good as the reviewers have said then the amount of control you get is good for me.

Fair enough then, it sounds pretty kewl :) I'm still scarred by the experience of tresspasser though, the game the developers were telling everyone will feel so real and have such incredibly interaction and physics... and it ended up sucking more cock than something that sucks a hell of a lot of cock.

hehe, okay. Well I don't think I've even heard of Tresspasser......probably a good thing by the way you describe it. Thats alot of cock.

There is no way in HELL that March 2nd (that's thursday) is a shipping date. EA's standard policy is that they do 2 weeks of QA on any developer finished title. If it passes those two weeks, *then* it gets published.

If this gold gets accepted by EA, I wouldn't expect to see it until late march at the earliest (if not april here). If the gold gets rejected (which it can if they find just one bug), then they have to fix the bug(s) they found and resubmit again, and wait for another two weeks from the resubmission - which adds 2 weeks for each time they have to resubmit.

I'm still scarred by the experience of tresspasser though, the game the developers were telling everyone will feel so real and have such incredibly interaction and physics... and it ended up sucking more cock than something that sucks a hell of a lot of cock.

Yeah, but that's just because Seamus Blackley was managing the Trespasser project. I mean, damn, he released fake screenshots a few days before the game was released! I'm sure he'd never lie about the potential of his next product *chortlesmirk*.

Ahh, xbox bashing...so easy, so fun ;p

Yah. Devs always talk up their products to ridiculous levels before release. I suggest everyone just ignore it. Wait for the game, see for yourself. Lets hope it comes out before Qgl eh :)

Why would you ignore the game since several dozen sites have reviewed/previewed it and said it r0x0rs??

EVERYONE should go out and pre-order it now damnit!

Moridin....How are you gonna play it before you buy it? I haven't seen any playable demos of it around...feel free to direct me to the location of one such demo.

The only way you are gonna play this game before you buy it is to steal a copy from EA, or are you gonna get someone to do this for you???

Or you could work there and get a copy in internal mail... WOOP!
