There's been a mighty furore springing up about this game where #2 seeded Blue was plastered around Tourney4 (Blue's favourite map) by a relatively unknown Excalibur. After the game Blue had commented about MG and shotty missing, but it all got swept up in the rest of the CPL frenzy.

Now that some demos are out there's been some added weight to the Blue debate and discussions springing up everywhere crying foul play! I'm surprised they haven't started blaming alien invasion yet ;)

Here's the main Blue Bug thread over at XSReality, as well as some Counters to the whole debate.

when i first heard about this i thought blue must have just been making excuses. but i watched the demos from both perspectives and there is no doubt in my mind that blue was correct. there were times when blue was accurate with his shotgun and blood appeared on his oponent yet no damage was done (eg at 7:40). this incident puts into question the fairness of the q3comp mod that was being used.

it now appears that excalibur was running the 125hz mod. the author of the cl_125hz mod has said he is 99% confident this was the cause. turning 125hz on was against CPL rules. the CPL are currently investigating and will be making a statement when done. what a soap opera :)

did theyonly duel on one map? i downloaded the demos and i didn't see anythign that was without a doubt suspiscious, at that speed itshard to tell and it looked overall like blue was just sloopy, he did stupid things like exposing himself to excaliber again on low heeath even thoguh excaliber had just ralied his arse at long range.... i think he was waay over confident and got a shock, excaliber seemed to be a rpetty awesome railer. just go and look at one time when blue bounces of a pad intothe air and gets ralied mid air by excliber and knocked to the gounrd...what does incrediblyintelligent blue do?jump straight back onthe pad again...and get railed again.... the times when he started to frag agian were the time he got agressive, and excaliber played a waay smarter game it seemed to be, he didsome pretty clever things...retreating with the minigun for ages then quickly duckgin behind a wall and reappearign withhis plasma to nail blue's over-confident arse. so yeah, i think blue just played s***....hehe not that i know ANYHTIGNabout q3 or even play it for that matter....but hey..have i ever been wrong before?

im not good, but there are deffinetly a few times where blue COULD NOT HAVE MISSED but still did

if you watch at 7:40 or where ever, in both povs you notice that blue hit ex with a shotty, and ex took no damage at all

the cpl has made their ruling. they have found that "some aspects of the game modification may in fact have caused irregularities in latency in a match between Henrik "Blue" Bjoerk and Mark "Excaliber" Cowley". they have awarded Blue a 9th-12th place finish in the tournament.

looks like even the cpl thinks you are full of s***, barak.

yeah i saw that 7:40 incident but that was only oen incident, and maybe a few other smaller ones....i think from watching the demo excaliber looked to be the beter player anyway, tactically definately because my god did blue do some stupid s***, gettign on jump pads when he KNEW blue was up there with rail gun, and attackign with really low health and stuff, i think based on that excaliber probably would have won anyway...he seemed to be bloody good

Set the timescale to 0.1 around the 10:05 mark and watch carefully. Blue lands a rail right in the gut of excal and it doesn't register as a hit. The 7:40 incident is blatantly obvious, especially if you play it in timescale 0.1, you can see he's is hitting him but it isn't registering.

It has been said... that once blue knew his computer was f***ed... instead of playing the rest of the game and get owned anyway.... he tried to make it as ovbious as possible so that when people watched the demo thay could see for sure that he got screwed

that railgun and shotgun incident prove beond a doubt that blue's computer was not functioning properley(or the server mabye, or even something on the others guy comp)

A near point blank shotty(7.40) and a centre of chest slug(10.05) doing 0/zero/none/zilch damage..... Hmmmm
