I just got back from visiting GA's Sydney datacentre and noticed that all the traffic signal control boxes around Ultimo have big "Rockstar GTA IV" stickers on them. Any one else seen this around the place?

You should probably mention you can order it from an overseas seller for cheaper than any of your options and with non-censored gameplay? Obviously I'm referring to PS3 version only.

Dunno ara, I only know that play-asia have stated that the US version for PS3 is apparently fine / not region locked.

when most people buy things overseas they don't usually thin the UK will be cheaper, because of europes high import taxes and ditry protectionism.

that's probably what Any is on about, usually cheap for us is US/Can or local asian version all of which are no good for 360 but fine for PS3.

nats, that site teq posted has it for 27.99.

currently AU$1 buys 47.25p. so that works out to ~60$AU for the game. shipping is free from that site.

You could probably get at least gta2 to work on the wii, but that would be pushing it.

ara, I know this game is cheaper in UK but that is not normally the case. The UK normally takes it as hard as we do, that's why I said 'usually'. normally the UK is not a cheap place for anything except mingers and s***ty weather.

Well, you might not be able to play it at all if the australian servers don't let you on. I guess you could try making a new account/gamer profile and set your region to be in the US or the UK or whatever, if you wanted to play with huge latency.

I'm not entirely sure, I'm not even sure if its true, I only heard it as secondhand info, but apparently the same thing was done with Halo 3 and COD4.

I don't really care about whatever has been censored from the game, or even multiplayer to be honest (for GTA, at least) - what I do care about is the good $50 bucks that the local video game industry wants to rip me off for. I'm ordering this from that gamehubs site, and will be telling everyone I know to do the same.

Played it for a couple of hours last night after I picked it up, and I'm absolutely amazed at the level of detail and polish thats been put into everything. Like even the stuff on tv, the characters in the shows are animated better than half the characters in actual games out there. I sat there for at least half an hour just watching the tv before I went out and did anything :P
