heh our Irish (ex)receptionist will so hammered today lols. She said the drinking will start when she gets up haha. I hope she remembers to called us for a meet up later.... alas, I'm not holding my breath heh.

Yeah I heard that as well. I believe it's because it's like a 4 or 5 day festival in Ireland, and due to the timing of easter this year, it would have overlapped, which is bad for the irish catholics, and hence st patrick's day was moved forward to saturday.

Edit - wikipedia tells me that the church says its on the 15th this year cos they don't like it in holy week

but the irish national holiday is still the 17th so i say its the 17th
