Topic: Playing PS2 through LCD monitor?

I saw that Persona 3 has just come out, wanted to crack out the old ps2 to play it.

As the Wii now holds pride of place next to the tele, I thought perhaps I could hook up the ps2 to my lcd pc monitor. I know that VGA boxes don't work with lcds, anyway to hook the thing up?

Cheers for the help

"vga boxes"

wtf. If you mean composite to vga converters then yes, some of them output odd frequencies but if you have a good LCD it should be able to scale the output correctly.

I suggest something based on the scaling engine present in the samsung 190e1 (engineering unit) or 191 screne. They're the s***. Scaler works with inputs up to 1920x1200@75 and scales to pretty perfect 1280x1024@60
