I'm trying to set my girlfriends phone up so it doesn't have a private number - should be simple enough right?
first of all I went into the usual place - settings - phone - send my caller ID, tried to call my mobile and it still has a private number ok, so I try a few *#numbers* to turn it off manually - also failed so we got her a new phone (Nokia 6300) and call myself using her sim - still private number I got her to ring vodafone and see if theres any reason why its doing this - they all but laughed, saying it was a client side setting it always says "Check Caller ID Sending Service" when you try to dial out from the phone in question It used to say "Active Call Diverts" just before the previous message, but I've turned off all call forwarding and still no love now, I'm posting on QGL |

Yeah, rang Optus when I got my 6300, setting was on their end too, as well as mine.
