Hey dudes, I'm trying to find an electric RC plane (complete) that's cheap as chups.. there's a site in the US stacked full of them called http://www.egrandbuy.com/ but to get equivalent gear out here is $200+ and most of them don't come with motors, controls, etc.
So does anyone know any places in Brisbane that would sell similiar cheap electric RC planes for around the $100-150 mark? |

hobbyone are good but http://www.hobbyrama.com.au/ are better. They have 2 stores, one for models and one for RC toys. The guys there are helpful and awesome. Possibly a bit more expensive but they're the CA of RC stores and a bunch of you don't seem to mind paying more at CA so give hobbyrama a go.

I bought mine years ago and it was around that price. I've seen better ones for cheaper these days. Planes around that price will have it clearly written on it "DO NOT FLY IN ANY BREEZE AT ALL" and f*** me they mean it.
There's an RC store on the top floor on Indro just near the Birch Box Office. They have some fkn cool stuff there including a massive jet propelled RC fighter jet. It was about $700 for the jet, and then you have to get the engines ordered from the states and they each cost around the same price as the jet alone. |

Hobbyrama is good, a little pricy.
Go there and have a look at what they have, when you find a model google it with Brisbane and you may find a cheaper place. I have a $200ish RC chopper, I can fly it outside any breeze though and it gets real hard. The planes would be the same, as the cheaper models are small and light weight, easily pushed around by wind. |

My Brother just picked up a cheap $50 RC Helicopter from like toyworld or somewhere.
It's just a practice one so he doesn't crash a ~500$ one on it's maiden flight :o It's a pretty cool little Copter, but inside only. |

have a look for the electrafun. It cost me about $130, shipped from an online shop. Comes with 2 batteries, spare wing and tail sections.
And yes, dont fly with med-high wind. Got mine stuck up a tree out the back of my house for about 3 days, it eventually fell down and I rebuilt it no problems. |
