2K Games today announced the foundation of 2K Marin, a new 2K Games in-house development team based out of Novato, California. This is yet another studio that has joined the 2K ranks in the wake of other studios such as 2K Australia and 2K Boston who were responsible for the incredible BioShock. According to the press release, 2K Marin will be working on all-new IPs for the 2K brand as well as working with other 2K studios to help co-develop existing properties. There's no word on what this new studio might be working on, but it's another example of how aggressive 2K Games (Take-Two Interactive) have been in the growth department over the past year.
