i am trying to download a 700meg patch, and every time it gets to around 70% it just dies in the ass using the firefox downloader

anyone know how to fix this? thanks

No idea how to fix it, as I never download anything bigger than 300MB in Firefox.

Just use troggles's hosted version of wackget, as I think the program is no longer under development:

Use the firefox addon called Download Them All (DTA)

got wackget and just getting the file now, but even still with wackget it s*** itself and stopped twice, so i had to pause and resume it

something fishy is STILL up with my internet, its been playing up for months, getting erratic pings in fps games, random drop outs.....

try flashget

Are you pausing/stopping and then resuming with firefox?? That tends to be totally unreliable.
