I'm trying to find a youtube video I saw once.

It consisted of a guy playing the piano as well as singing, and on the piano he would play a short piece of a pop song and then switch to singing another one, but you'd notice the music didn't change much at all. He was talking also, pointing out the fact that all of these songs are based on some old school melody, which I also can't remember.

I am positive one of the songs he played and sang was Man in the Mirror. And maybe a Vanessa Carlton one...

a whole handful of their songs were interchangable with lyrics and melody
