Hey,
I remmeber a while back someone said these drives could be replaced. Had a read around and found out they are locked to the motherboards. I've forgotten the site for modding :( Xbox scene or something? If anyone has done this or have a link on how do it, that'd be great. Thanks ^__^ |

You need to be able extract the key from your old one to spoof into the new. But yeah, it is possible and not terribly difficult to do.

also the new hard drive needs to be lockable, the one I stuck in my old original xbox wasn't lockable so I think that means it won't work with xbox live but seeing as it won't read game cds anymore I don't think I really care about that :)
Don't xbox 360's have interchangable hard drives that come with easy to use transfer software? Maybe get your mits on said software. |
