I just saw this on Youtube and thought it was pretty cool. I guess it would work for anything that can be charged over USB.

you can make batteries out of lemons, you could power a radio with it. doesn't have to be usb powered
edit: this is better

\/\/\/ yeah obviously fake but still kind of funny to watch it and then think of all the people who will then go and post on their favourite forum "how do I get onion bits out of a usb plug? "

Guys, this is fake. The dude who made this has made other fake videos:

"How to Power a TV using a AAA battery"
"How to Create a High-Def speaker for under a buck."

None of them will work. I can't believe people fall for this crap. You can't magically connect a 4-pin USB connector into an onion and magically expect current flow in the right direction and into the right pins.

When life gives you lemons, power an 80gb USB music device with it.

Looked kinda fake when the onion managed to absorb a whole cup of fluid without increasing in size.

Lol, funny though. Wonder how many people have attempted any of that stuff themselves.

haha, i can't believe you got suckered into this.

there must be a hole behind the ipod where the cables are switched over because there is no way this could work.

this is totally different to those experiments you may have done in highschool with a potato or lemon and copper and zinc nails.
