Warning: Article is over 1 paragraph long, may cause strenuous exercise to the mind.

The little GIF's repetition has an adolescent playfulness to it, so loopy and horrifyingly goofy, so Internet-y, I can't stop staring. Hatch, headshot, slump. Hatch, headshot, slump. Hatch, headshot, slump. Hatch, headshot, slump.

typical cs gif really... except real?

"I went to a meeting in Great Falls, and we got to talking, and someone had to look something up online," she says. "I asked, ‘What do you use for Internet access?' and one agent said, ‘We have to go to the public library down the street.'"

that's kinda scary, surely bulls***!?

I would think WOW, the chick builds and lives characters, but her aim is for intelligence gathering against "terrorism".

yeah, while an interesting read, it is a long stretch to call making fake personalities for the gathering of information WOW.

that said, it is scarey how limited the FBI are in collecting information from the internet via social engineering and trolling forums. maybe it would be cheaper to pursue those methods instead of forcing carnivore onto ISPs.

i guess they have echelon aswell but you think social engineering would play a larger role due to its low cost.
