Trading at India's stock exchanges was halted after the benchmark index plunged eight per cent in early trading as the market regulator moved to curb buying by foreign funds. Hardly an issue for our local market. |

no such thing as an isolated local market anymore
the country that has the biggest growth along with China taking the world into the next decade just fell 10% and was halted is big news for the world.. doesnt matter if its a local issue or not |

Yes, but none the less it is an isolated issue which won't affect our market, infact india has almost completely recovered.

i dont think those curry muchers will slow this train
http://finance.yahoo.com/charts#chart1:symbol=000001.ss;range=1y;indicator=volume;charttype=line;crosshair=on;logscale=on;source=undefined i'm starting to think i should go short whenever US goes down more than 1% but then i guess you can only go short on selected stocks and no doubt every man and his dog will be doing the same |

its not so much that.. its more the fact that ppl like u and me are looking for the shorting opertunities because the market is where the market is.. ppl are expecting a correction and any news that points to the start of a correction is amplified
- 10% drops to a major index are going to cause people to become jittery and it could be the straw that breaks the bulls back |

no such thing as an isolated local market anymore o rly? then why did china's stock exchange power on as the world's markets corrected in august? that being the case i am a subscriber to elliot wave theory and presently we are in a wave 4 of a supercycle which should top out around 7000. after this the markets will experience havoc to put it bluntly. my futures positions are scheduled to close out in december but it could happen before then. last edited by infi at 10:19:32 18/Oct/07 |
