Last week I installed IPv6, and ever since I have been having network woes. I have since uninstalled it but the problems persist. I don't know if the installation of IPv6 has anything to do with it, it's just the last major thing I remember doing before the trouble started.

For some reason my net only works sometimes. I have tried both the onboard LAN and my wireless card, and both can connect just fine to their respective routers, but I keep having DNS and gateway issues when trying to get online. The internet will randomly cycle between functioning and not functioning.

Anybody had a similar problem or have a solution? I'm about to lose my temper with it and just try a complete reinstall or switch to Linux...

disable one or the other and try again
chances are you've got two interface running dhcp clients and every time you get a new lease from one the other will drop out

When it's working do an "ipconfig /all" and then when it's not working do the same command, note down what the DHCP server is listed as.

If they differ then you have an additional DHCP server running somewhere.
