Anyone found a band that they like and have only just noticed? Or just a new band you think is pretty good?

My latest favorites are the Spinto Band

and Honeyroot

Well its not a band I've newly got into, but I've been cranking Electric Six's new album at work and its awwwwwwwwwesome.

As for new bands, a guy at work got me onto a band called Eagles of Death Metal, and its pretty good stuff. Despite the name, its not actually death metal, best way I could describe it would be as a mix between The Darkness and Electric Six.

Last album I really enjoyed was Chevelle - Vena Sera

I don't think there is a song on there that I dislike.

There was some band on Live at the Wireless either last week or the week before that had a singer who sounded a bit like Nick Cave, but the music was f***ing awesome. Wish I could remember the name because I would totally "buy" the album.

What is the big deal with Radiohead?
To me they are yet another dreary British pop band who drone on endlessly about s***. Is this mediocre rubbish really capturing the hearts and minds of so many so-called music fans?
If I had to listen to Radiohead for more than one song at a time I reckon I would be diving under the sink for the toaster and running a deep bath.
Even half a song has me feeling more than a little razor-y.
I mean if you like it, good for you I guess. I just do not see what all the fuss is about over such a boring band.
JJJ were wanking over them this arvo, "OMG we have the new album and we'll be playing every song". WHY? What makes it so special? Is it because they are the next U2? Cos they sure sound like it.

I just bought Andy Mckee's CD and a few transcriptions off his site, insanely difficult.

I found him through Youtube, some of his songs have 6million+ views.

I genuinely suprised a talented artist has gotten such mainstream exposure, good stuff

The Birthday Massacre, their albums Violet and Walking with Strangers are dark and powerful. The lead singer Chibi has an amazing voice.

Did I mention Sublime? :D

Trav from TKT/skypi is bulls*** gifted at music. It's crazy that he only started at 14/15 and became awesome so soon. He's a tripper.
