Rock legends Led Zeppelin will perform a one-time comeback concert in London in memory of a co-founder of Atlantic Records, organisers say.

The group will perform together for the first time in 19 years on November 26, at London's The O2 venue, on the banks of the River Thames.

Oh man this is just getting sad, next stop is twin towns with wikity wak as support. Sorry but I think that it is just sad, they have had their day and it was 20+ years ago. So many old fart bands coming out of the closet trying to relive their glory days. And I own the entire collection of Led Zep and I wouldn't go if you paid me, time to break out the dencor rub.

They have probably been supporting John Farnham and the seekers with some other band that has forgotten every band has a used by date. I for one think that bands who make come backs after 20 years are just really really sad and are like a 50 year old in a night club.

I agree, I'm a massive Led Zep fan, but FOAD.

Unlike Iron Maiden that are old as f***, but continued on rocking and still own... that will be a brutal concert.

I would not want to stop them because what would all the people who say "music was better in my day" have to talk about. There is some music that's timeless and LZ would be up there along with the Beatles, Hendrix, Bach, Motzart, etc. Do you think they're doing it because you or I give a s***? Anger in a led zep thread is a jailable offense. plant and page sounded pretty good in 93 with the whole no quarter thing but even then plant was struggling with notes, 14 years later, sheesh i dunno. To just see them live playing would be so awesome though.

yeah I wouldn't be _that_ fussed on seeing them now, but I'd definitely still have a crack at getting tickets for a local show cos age doesn't usually affect mad guitar skills anywhere near as early as it does vocals, so while robert plant might be painful to hear nowadays jimmy page still rocks

heh, it's kinda funny how the lil kid (jason bonham) ya see in 'the song remains the same' (the movie) smacking away at a mini drum kit is going to be the drummer for this concert ;p a guy here at work has got his name into the ballot for this gig... he is a mad led zep fan.

$1000 a ticket would be under priced for this.

Favourite zep track would have to be achillies last stand.

No quarter is pretty epic, as is Achilles, hell they all are. For me probs one of the lesser known ones "tea for one" though dazed and confused and since iv been loving you are also great, and amazing on the Live DVD.

Yeah, Tea for One is mine too. Since I've Been Loving You is a somewhat close second.
